The Construction Foreman for Deffenbaugh Homes is responsible for supervising employees, subcontractors and coordinating with our design team to implement the design plan. The position is a working foreman and requires hands-on work in various skill sets and planning and carrying out work schedules.
Primary Responsibilities
- Ability to organize and run construction projects, communicating and coordinating with the design team, subcontractors, and other employees to ensure high-quality work within the planned timeline.
- Must be able to learn to use various apps on mobile devices.
- Ability to use a range of power and hand tools to carry out a range of standard construction tasks, including demolition, rough framing, finish carpentry to include cabinetry buildup and installation, drywall, and various hardware installation.
- Ability to work with construction plans and familiarity with construction codes
- OSHA 30-hour certification and familiarity with occupational safety guidelines. Ability to ensure compliance by company employees with safety guidelines.
- Ability to coordinate, oversee, inspect and accept subcontractor work for plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.
- Need to be able to lift/carry heavy, oversized items at times
- Mandatory skills – finish carpentry for trim, door, window, and cabinetry installation
- Highly desired skills – ability to hang, tape, texture,e and finish drywall
- Applicant expected to own and maintain hand tools, including a drill set. Othepowerser and specialized tools are provided for use.
